I recently had the opportunity to have clients fly Melissa and I out to Denver, Colorado for a family session, and I have to say, it was an absolute blast. From exploring the vibrant downtown area and trying all kinds of new restaurants and breweries, to hiking in the beautiful Rocky Mountains and checking out some of the city's unique neighborhoods, there was so much to see and do.

But as much as I loved having the chance to get away and have some fun, I have to admit that I was also really looking forward to getting back home to my kids. Don't get me wrong – I had a great time and made some amazing memories, but there's just something special about being able to come home to the people you love most in the world.

Being a parent is one of the most rewarding and challenging roles I've ever had, and I always miss my kids when I'm away. So while I had a fantastic time in Denver, I was definitely glad to get back home and give my little ones some extra hugs and kisses.

Overall, I think it's important to remember that it's okay to have fun and take some time for yourself, but at the same time, it's always nice to come back home to the people who matter most to you. Whether it's a quick weekend trip or a longer vacation, it's all about finding the right balance and making the most of your time away.
