If you're a frequent traveler like me, you know that it's easy to find a place that you want to visit more than a couple of times, but rare that you get to go there more than once in a year. That's why I was surprised to find myself returning to Colorado twice in one year. It's quickly becoming our home away from home.

In September, my family and I had the opportunity to visit Colorado Springs for a vacation. We spent our days sightseeing and exploring the city, and even took a trip to the wolf reserve. It was an unforgettable experience, and we quickly fell in love with the city and its friendly residents.

So, when a client of ours invited us to fly out to Denver for a family photo session, we jumped at the chance. We were excited to return to Colorado and spend some more time in this beautiful state.

What is it about Colorado that has captured our hearts? For starters, the scenery is absolutely breathtaking. From the rugged peaks of the Rocky Mountains to the verdant forests and rivers, there's no shortage of natural beauty to take in. And then there's the outdoor recreation – from hiking and mountain biking in the summer to skiing and snowboarding in the winter, there's something for every season.

But it's not just the natural beauty and recreational opportunities that make Colorado such a special place. It's also the sense of community and relaxation that we feel when we're there. It's a place where we can unplug from the stresses of everyday life and just be present with each other.

So, what's the appeal of having a home away from home? For me, it's the sense of familiarity and belonging that it brings. When you have a place that you can return to again and again, it becomes a part of you. It's a place where you can relax and be yourself, and where you can create lasting memories with the people you love.

I'm not sure when we'll be able to visit Colorado again, but I'm already looking forward to our next trip. Until then, it will always hold a special place in our hearts as our home away from home.
